I met Sami when he joined SokSiphana&associates as an Intern. I got the opportunities to work with him on various projects. Despite being a high school graduate, Sami displays great leadership and critical thinking skills. Combined with his creativity, he is able to come up with innovative solution to challenging issues within a project. In terms of working style, he is very diligent and enthusiastic. He is keen to learn new things but also willing share with others, his personal insights and observation.

The most significant project that he was involved in was our firm’s file restructuring and knowledge management. Along with his team, he helped to come up with a new filing structure, file migration and organization which had made document filing clearer and more efficient for us. On top of that, he also contributed to the firm’s knowledge body by assisting his colleagues with various research projects, drafting and proofreading.

It has been a great pleasure working with Sami. I am certain that no matter which organization he is a part of, his knowledge, passion, enthusiasm and insight will greatly contribute to the team’s growth.

Sami was like my baby brother and we shared an insatiable passion for theatre.

I will always see Sami as the phenomenal playwright and director of the play which he gave me the honour of acting in, ‘12-8’, which struck deep emotional chords with audience members from all walks of life.

I am forever grateful to Sami for creating space for me to reawaken my creativity.

Sami’s love for writing and theatre brought beauty and intense emotion to the stage and I will be forever grateful to have witnessed it.

Sami and I instantly connected because of our shared love of theatre and our passion for words, and I will forever be honoured he allowed me to give life to one of his amazing characters onstage.

Sam has used his artistic talent to change many lives including mine; he saw me when nobody did and I am forever blessed for our experience together.

Sami enchanted us – friends, acquaintances, actors, audiences – with his talent, his poetry, and his joyful passion for the theater.

Sami was a phenomenal author, playwright, director, friend, and prolific narrator of life lived.

ខ្ញុំពិតជាមានកិត្តិយសខ្លាំងណាស់ដែលបានបង្រៀនមុខវិជ្ជាល្ខោនដល់ សាមី នៅសាលាអន្តរជាតិភ្នំពេញ​( ISPP)។ ខ្ញុំឃើញគាត់ចេះយ៉ាងស្ទាត់ជំនាញ ហើយខ្ញុំពិតជារីករាយយ៉ាងខ្លាំងដោយបានចូលរួមផលិតរឿងជាច្រើនដែលវាជាអំណោយដ៏ថ្លៃថ្លាមួយ។

Teaching Sami Theatre at ISPP was an honour; seeing him hone his craft and gain so much pleasure from being in so many productions was a true gift.

Apart from being my best friend with whom I shared some of my most memorable times, Sami shared with me his love for theatre and gave me the courage to perform in front of an audience – he will forever live in my memories.

Although I may have known him as a friend, later realising I was his uncle but as we spend years sharing laughs, he truly became a brother whom I love so dearly. A great spirit to be around with that contagious laugh of his. He taught me to really ‘grab life by the throat’ and truly live and love what you do.

ដំបូងឡើយ សាមី គឺជាមិត្តដ៏អស្ចារ្យម្នាក់ ដែលបានជួយធ្វើឱ្យអាជីព សម្តែងលើកទីមួយរបស់ខ្ញុំចេញជារូបរាងយ៉ាងពិតប្រាកដ។ ខ្ញុំនឹងចងចាំនូវបេះដូងដ៏ល្អបរិសុទ្ធ គំនិតឆ្នៃប្រឌិត និងការសើចដែលមិនអាចបំភ្លេចបានរបស់គាត់ជានិរន្តរ៍។

Sami was at first a great friend, who shaped my acting career directing my first true play. I will always remember his kind heart, creative mind and his memorable laugh.

Sami was, above all, driven by love. Love for his family, love for his friends, and love for his art. This shone through in his work as a truly deep, and mindful exploration of himself and his life. Although Sami was faced with hardship many other people will never know, he always had nothing but love to give to everyone around him, and found art to be a way for him to express this deep love.

សាមី តែងតែជំរុញអ្នកនៅជុំវិញខ្លួនឱ្យបង្កើនសមត្ថភាព និងជឿជាក់លើខ្លួនឯង។ មិនថាពួកគេជាអ្នកណា គាត់ចង់ឃើញមិត្តរបស់គាត់ សម្រេចបាននូវក្តីសុបិន​ បំពេញការងារតាមចំណង់ចំណូលចិត្តរបស់ពួកគេ ហើយបន្តអភិវឌ្ឍខ្លួន។​ គាត់ជឿជាក់យ៉ាងមុតមាំលើសមត្ថភាពច្នៃប្រឌិតថានឹងអាចសម្រេចបាន តាមរយៈការមើលឃើញពីថាមពលក្នុងការស្វែងរកគំនិតថ្មីៗ ការសហការជាមួយមនុស្សផ្សេងៗគ្នា និងការបង្ហាញពីភាពច្នៃប្រឌិតរបស់មនុស្សម្នាក់ទៅកាន់ពិភពលោក។

Sami always pushed those around him to excel and believe in themselves. No matter what they were, he wanted to see his friends chase their dreams and passions, and to improve themselves continuously doing so. He believed deeply in the creative process’ ability to achieve this, seeing the power inherent in the exploration of new ideas, collaboration with different people and the presentation of one’s creativity to the world.

សាមី ធ្វើអ្វីៗក្នុងជីវិតជាមួយនឹងចំណង់ចំណូលចិត្តរបស់គាត់។ ពីអ្វីដែលគាត់ស្រលាញ់ មកជាសិល្បៈ និងជាចំណូលចិត្តរបស់គាត់ ។ សាមី មិនដែលគេចវេសពីការបង្ហាញអ្នកដទៃពីទំហំនៃចំណង់ចំណូលចិត្តរបស់គាត់ចំពោះអ្វីដែលគាត់ស្រលាញ់នោះទេ។ សូម្បីតែនៅថ្ងៃដែលគាត់តស៊ូខ្លាំងបំផុតជាមួយនឹងការព្យាបាលជម្ងឺក៏ដោយ ក៏ចំណង់ចំណូលចិត្ត​ និងភាពអង់អាចរបស់គាត់ នៅតែកើនឡើង ហើយមិនដែលថមថយម្តងណាឡើយ។

Sami approached everything in life with passion. From those he loved to his art and hobbies, he never shied away from showing others the extent of his passion for the things he held dear. Even on days he struggled most, his passion and character was always prevalent never once diminishing.
